WHAT IS SOIL STABILIZATION?
Soil
Stabilization is the process of altering the soil properties to
enhance its strength and water repellent capability. This increases
compaction density thus improving its workability and durability
for heavy-duty use for roads, air strips, landfills, terminals and
others.

What is Miracore Soil Stabilizer?
Historically,
lime and soil cement have been used to stabilize paved or unpaved
roads. However, these are expensive and its application is tedious
and time consuming.
Miracore is an inexpensive liquid soil stabilizer and strengthener,
which is a blend of acrylic co-polymer. This product is designed
to enhance soil compaction and water resistance in order to build
durable and virtually all weather-unpaved roads. It is also used
for building a strong and long lasting base either for asphalt or
concrete roads.

Do Miracore treated unpaved roads really last?
Miracore
treated unpaved roads such as farm to market and access roads are
expected to last for several years longer under normal use, requiring
only minimal maintenance.
Does Miracore work in all types of soil?
Miracore
will work in virtually all types of soil, as well as combinations
of material.
Can Miracore replace asphalt or concrete?
Asphalt
and concrete are wearing surfaces. Their service life depends on
the durability of their base. Treating the base course materials
with Miracore will lengthen the service life of asphalt and concrete
roads considerably and minimize the need for repair and maintenance.
Furthermore, due to the strong supporting base as a result of the
treatment, the wearing course material required such as asphalt
and cement may be reduced significantly.
What other benefits can be derived when using Miracore
Soil Stabilizer?
1.
Sub-standard soil such as silt or clay, which are normally unacceptable,
can now be used
in road construction as main components.
2. It increases
construction productivity.
3. The cost of recycling
old roads will be minimal. Locally acceptable materials may be used
instead of expensive re-sheeting of aggregates.
4. Miracore reduces
the slippery effect of roads - increasing smoothness and safety.
It minimizes the
dust of unpaved roads.
What road preparation is needed prior to applying
Miracore
Soil Stabilizer?
1.
Roadways should be free from foreign debris (ex. roots, plastic).
2. Soft spots must
be eliminated.
3. Drains should
be in place and functioning to avoid accumulation of water.
4. Soil samples
should be submitted to SS Geo Tech for testing. Each
Miracore Soil Stabilizer
formula is tailor made for a specific type of soil.
5. The soil must
not exceed its optimum moisture content prior to application of
Miracore Soil Stabilizer.
Why is Miracore easy to apply?
In
constructing and rehabilitating roads, Miracore can stabilize at
least 3,000 square meters per day requiring only the following equipment:
--
Grader
-- Vibratory compactor
-- Water truck
with spray bar and control valve
How large is the area coverage for a barrel of
Miracore Soil Stabilizer?
Normally,
a 200-liter barrel of Miracore Soil Stabilizer concentrate can cover
7000 square meters of road at the recommended depth of 150 mm.
How much water is mixed with Miracore Soil Stabilizer
during application?
Approximately
100 liters of water are mixed with every liter of Miracore Soil
Stabilizer concentrate. While applying Miracore to the dry soil,
the volume of water is increased to 120 liters. Wet soil will require
only 75 liters of water per 1 liter of Miracore concentrate.
How is Miracore packed and what precautions need
to be observed?
Miracore
Soil Stabilizer is available in 200-liter drums and 20-liter containers,
which are easy to handle. Miracore concentrate should not be exposed
to sunlight. It should be stored at a temperature between 32°F
to 120°F. During application, the temperature should be within
50°F to 135°F.
Does Miracore require special handling?
Miracore
simplifies road building and is environment friendly. No special
handling is required. Although it is not harmful to the eyes or
any other body parts, it should be washed off by simply water flushing.
